We install Skid plates in our shop quite often. Few skid plates fit like theirs, and NONE are as durable in our experience. We are near the Everglades. SO WHAT? I'll tell you what, only until you hit a Cypress Knee, do you ANY IDEA of hard strong these natures *Other* Rocks! They always come to a point, not necessarily a sharp point like a Spike, but a slightly rounded point that NEVER dulls and can crush the best of off-road armor! This particular set were fitted to a Can-Am with OEM accessory skid plates, yes the aluminum ones. The Ricochet's thicker and tougher aluminum is the ONLY ones that hold-up to these KILLER Cypress *Stumps* some call them, but they are indeed saplings growing into to huge Cypress trees in the future. The Cypress Knees hold-up as well and proceed to be full size beautiful trees. They are a TOUGH, and robust tree, and one of the toughest test for skid-plates you'll find! Like the mighty Cypress, which even termites can't hurt, Ricochet plates stand-up when others Lay-Down! I guess this is a glowing report. After 48+ years of woods racing and riding, I am an authority at this point! You won't be let down by their products. From Customer support, to a great product, they are the first call I make and the first brand I recommend.
