Love the ricochetoffroad skid plates. They fit and lined up perfectly with my 2016 tacoma. I love how Don and Paige took care of me regarding questions I had. I got there full brushed 9 piece skid plates. Only minor feedback is that maybe the online pictures need to match the part for tacoma. I had questions because the pictures wasn't really the actual part for tacoma. (Transfer case crossmember/transfer case skid)

I use my 2017 Tacoma for light off-road use (hiking, firewood, a little hunting) and after a couple boulder-bounces in the rimrock country of Sedona, AZ, I figured skidplates were in order. Ordered a full set of aluminum skid plates from Ricochet and overall very pleased. They were well and cleanly formed and welded, the anodizing was superb, and they went on pretty easily--everything lined up with a little nudging. Did it by myself with a small floor jack to hold the big parts. Was particularly pleased to get decent protection on the gas tank. Have taken a couple minor whacks since I installed them and they're performing like I'd expect aluminum to do. Wish I'd done full anodizing just because they were so darn pretty. Did lose a little ground clearance, but this is not my serious offroad rig (for that I crank up my beloved Jeep Rubicon) and the USFS roads I'm usually on don't demand that much clearance for the most part. Upsides--extensive coverage reduces the amount of mud, snow, salt, and slop splashed into a good part of the underbody and most everything is skid-protected now. Mild concerns--I'm no fan of cup washers and expect those to deform over time/use--so I ordered an extra pack and tossed in truck (should include a few for free, I think). Much to my chagrin, I missed a Black Friday sale by a few days--so wait for that! Instructions should be refreshed with better quality and more photos--took me too long to figure out how the A-frame skids mounted, and the cross-bar installation was a bit confusing. And lastly, I change my filter every change and that means dropping a big plate plus having to drop the tranny plate to access the U-joint which is greased every change. But that is what it is. Overall, excellent quality at a good price, and I'm pleased to have them mounted.
