Factory dump beds rely on the stock latch or lift mechanism to hold the bed closed, and that's not always enough. Rear-loaded cargo, worn hardware, or rough trails can be enough to let the bed creep open with no warning. The Dump Bed Lock Kit replaces that risk with a real mechanical lock. A heavy-duty steel bracket and locking pin hold the bed firmly in the closed position, and the bed cannot lift or dump until you manually pull the pin. No more surprise dumps, no more wondering if the latch is going to hold on the next rough trail.

Built Stronger Where It Counts

This is not a flimsy add-on latch. The brackets are cut from heavier gauge steel than the factory hardware and finished with a zinc/galvanized coating to resist corrosion in wet, muddy, or salted conditions. The locking pin threads through both brackets and is secured with a retention clip, so the only way the bed opens is if you manually pull the pin yourself. Engaging the lock takes seconds: bolt on the brackets, drop in the pin, and secure it with the retention clip. To dump the bed, simply pull the clip and remove the pin. It is a simple, positive-lock design with no springs or friction points to wear out over time.
