On the RZR XP 1000 Trails and Rocks, sticks and branches can punch up through the floorboard in the wheel well and into the footwell where your feet are. These left and right plates cover both the footwell and the upper fender well, filling the entire wheel well, so a stick that would have come through gets stopped by aluminum instead.
