I’ve used Ricochet skid plates on other dirt bikes and they offer outstanding protection. Installation on the Yamaha TT-R230 (2022), was reasonably easy but the instructions are inadequate. You need to remove the OEM crash bar/skid plate by removing 3 bolts. Next, use the OEM bolts to attach both supplied brackets to the same place the OEM guard was mounted. Use the 8x25mm buttonhead Torx bolts to mount the skid plate to the rear brackets. In the front, you need to remove the long engine mount bolt and replace it with the supplied 8x80mm bolt that also holds both front brackets (make sure to angle them forward to match the skid plate contour). Use the M8x22mm hex bolts to bolt the skid plate to the front brackets. You will need a 13mm socket or wrench. Make sure and not tighten the bolts until all are installed in order to give you some wiggle-room or leeway. In my case, I also had to file the bolt slots in the skid plate wider to get the bolts to go in. Other than that, the installation was pretty straightforward once I figured out how the brackets were mounted.
