3/16" Aluminum

The go-to for riders who want maximum strength and a clean, finished look. Aircraft-grade aluminum shrugs off rocks, roots, and hard landings without adding significant weight. If you're running aggressive terrain and want armor that looks as good as it performs, this is your build.

1/2" UHMW Polyethylene

Ultra-high-molecular-weight plastic that slides over obstacles instead of catching on them. Where aluminum can grab and hang up on rocks, UHMW glides, making it a favorite for tight technical trails and rock crawling. It's virtually indestructible, self-lubricating, and won't dent or crack under impact.

Combo Build – 3/16" Aluminum with 1/4" UHMW Overlay

The best of both worlds. You get the structural rigidity of aluminum underneath with a UHMW overlay on top that takes the abuse and keeps you moving. If you can't decide between the two, you don't have to.
